Commencing in 2019, my latest body of work is all about contradiction and juxtaposition.

Taking inspiration from Scandanvian design and oriental painting each piece is thrown on the wheel from porcelain then decorated with bold black brushwork.

The outsides are left unglazed creating a stark graphic quality whilst the insides are glazed creating a hygienic surface and softening the brushwork.

This body of work embodies contradiction and juxtaposition, from top to bottom, inside and out.

Functional yet expressive. Clean yet artistic.
